It is advisable to cut ‘a cross’ diagonally from the centre of the damper to the inside of the damper case only at this stage, and cut to final size once FFC material is fixed to structure/adjacent fire curtain vertical runs.

Ensure power to actuator is removed and allow actuator to travel to end position. Unscrew the 8mm AF head screw (central motor retaining screw) and remove the set-point assembly.
