Operating Guide: Timer

The Timer
The device features a session timer which automatically turns the device off after 3, 6 or 9 minutes to ensure the battery is conserved and the device does not overheat. Once the timer is reached and the device turns off, another vibration will alert you that the device has turned off.

Operating Guide: Toggles & Flip Screen

To toggle the session timer between the 3, 6 and 9 minutes options, hold the 'power' button and 'up' button together for 3 seconds. Then press 'up' or 'down' to toggle the different options.

To toggle the temperature setting between Celsius and Fahrenheit, hold the 'power' button and 'down' button at the same time for 2 seconds

To flip the screen, hold the power button for 5 seconds. The screen flip is designed to enable users to observe the screen whilst using the device, in other words for anyone who wants to time their tokes and regulate their intake.

Sterilising in 3 steps

1. Prepare for sterilising
   Before sterilising your device, ensure it has been sufficiently charged. If you're sterilising after cleaning the device then ensure your parts have been wiped dry with a clean cloth before proceeding to the next step.
2. Setting your temperature
   Turn the device on by pressing the power button 5 times. Then set your vaporizer to the maximum temperature (240°C) by holding the temperature 'up' button until 240°C is reached.
3. Sterilising
   Detach the cooling unit and allow the device to heat for 3 minutes with an empty chamber in order to sterilise it. The device has a built in 3-minute timer and hence it will turn itself off once the sterilisation process is complete.
   Repeat this step once more with the cooling unit attached. In summary, you will do this once without the cooling unit detached and once with the cooling unit attached.

Operating Guide: Vaping Extracts*

1. Clearing the chamber
   If recently used, allow your device to cool down then clean it out using the MagStick and/or a brush to ensure the chamber is free of any loose leaf and/or resin. Place the provided extract/concentrate/wax pad into the chamber.
2. Adding extracts into the capsule
   Place a small amount of extract onto the pad, roughly the size of a half a pea & gradually increase to the size of a pea to find your preferred amount. See next page for more info.
   Note: When using extract dosing capsules, remove the resin trap as this maximises the utilisation of the extract.
3. Vaping temperature for extracts
   Extracts tend to have a higher boiling point than dry herbs so set the temperature of your device to 230°C-240°C. Once your device vibrates, wait an additional 20s and then take long, slow and smooth tokes (each toke should last between 5-10s depending on how strong you desire the hit to be).

*NOTE: To vape extracts you should use an extract dosing capsule to avoid clogging your device.

1. Capsules: Herbs vs Extracts
   The Nectar Hex utilises two dosing capsules which should be filled as below for best results:
   
   • Dosing Capsule for Herbs = 3/4 Full
   • Dosing Capsule for Extracts = 1/2 Pea Size
2. Loading a herb dosing capsule
   Fill the dosing capsule to the top. Then compact the herbs by pressing lightly with your finger or the bottom of the MagStick.
   Note: Avoid packing too tightly as this may restrict the airflow.
   
3. Applying extract to dosing capsule
   Apply a small amount of extract to the centre of the extract pad; we recommend an amount half the size of a pea.

Cleaning: Light Clean

Perform a light clean once every 5 sessions (Steps 1 to 3).

Cleaning: Deep Clean

Perform a deep clean once every 20 sessions (Steps 1 to 6).

4. Dismantle the cooling unit
   
   1. Rotate and pull the mouthpiece off the cooling unit.
   2. Detach the resin trap by pulling off.
   3. Dismantle the resin trap into its 3 separate pieces.
5. Method 1: Cleaning the filters
   Use a brush soaked in ISO to disinfect and clean any excess residue from the Resin Trap, its gauze and the rubber holder. Now rinse off each part with lukewarm water and then dry using a clean cloth. Put your device back together, sterilise and use.
   
6. Method 2: Replacing the filters
   The resin trap collects unwanted residue so you can conveniently replace the entire section or just parts of it. When replacing parts, simply disassemble your device and reassemble it with the new parts.
   

Note: Isopropyl alcohol deforms rubber. Do NOT soak rubber parts for more than 30s.

Warnings

Liquids & Extracts
Do not submerge the whole device or its chamber into water, isopropyl alcohol (ISO), or any other substance. Do not use the device with viscous liquids/oils as this may block the airflow holes. Extracts can be used with the device only whilst using the wax pad as advised.

Error Codes
The device may indicate an issue with the battery by present the error message "out short" or "low voltage". Replacing the battery with an original battery should fix the issue. If not, then please contact our customer service via WhatsApp.

Charging
Do NOT charge your device with a charger consisting of more input than 5V/2A. Do not leave your device with no charge for periods over 2 months as this will cause a reduction in future capacity and possibly battery failure.
