Verify Line Voltage Before Use

has beenfactory-configured for usewith 120-
volt AC line current,Connectingthe amplifierto
a linevoltage otherthan that for which it is
intendedcan createa safetyand fire hazard,
and may damagethe amplifien
If you haveany questionsabout the voltage
requirements for your specificmodel,or about
the line voltage in yourarea,contactyour sefl-
ing dealerbeforepluggingthe unit into a wall
outlet,
Verify AC Circuit Capacity Before Use
High-poweroutput of your amplifiermay
requireheavycurrentdraw underfull load con-
ditions,Toensureproperperformanceand
avoid potential safetyhazards, w e recommend
that it be connectedto a circuit with 20-amp
capacityConnectingmultiple amplifiersto the
samecircuit,or connectingthe amplifierto a
circuit usedbyother heavy-powerdevices, s uch
as high-wattagelights, maycausecircuit break-
ers to trip, it is alwaysa good idea to avoid
using any audio equipmenton the sameAC cir-
cuit as equipmentwith motors,suchas air con-

Do Not Use ExtensionCords

Handle the AC Power Cord Gently
When disconnecting the power cordfrom an
AC outlet, alwayspull the plug; neverpull the
cord if you do not intendto usethe amplifier
for a considerable length of time,disconnect
the plug from the AC outlet,

Installation Location
• To ensureproper operationand to avoid the

Cleaning
Whenthe unit gets dirty,wipe it with a clean,

cloth Neveruse benzene, t hinner,alcoholor

Moving the Unit
Beforemovingthe unit, be certain to discon-
nect any interconnectioncordswith othercom-
ponents,and makecertainthat you disconnect
the unit from the AC outlet
Unpacking and Installation
Thecartonand shippingmaterialsusedin pro-
tecting your new amplifierwere specially
designedto cushionit from the shocksand
vibrationof shipping.We suggestthat you save
the cartonand packingmaterialsfor usein
shippingif you moveor if the unit ever needs
repair
Tominimizethe sizeof the cartonin storage,
you may wish to flatten it, Carefullyremoveany
staplesusedto closecartonseams; c arefullyslit
the tape on the bottom andcollapsethe car-
ton Other cardboardinsertsmay be storedin
the samemanner Packingmaterialsthat can-
not be collapsedshouldbe savedalong with
the cartonin a plasticbag
When positioningthe amplifier in its final loca-
tion, makecertainthat it hasadequateventila-
tion on all sides,asweft as on the top andbot-
tom. Donot placeCDsrrecord]acketsr owner's
manualsor other paperon top of or beneath
the unit or in betweenmultiple amplifiersin a
stack,Thiswill blockthe air flow, causing
degradedperformanceanda possiblefire haz-
ard, If the unit is to be enclosedin a cabinetor
rack,makecertainthat thereis adequateair
circulation,with meansprovidedfor hot air to
exit and for cool air to be brought in
