Instructions for use
Filling
1. Make sure that the drain plug (7) is closed.
2. Lift and turn the shower mixer tap to the fully open position for hot water (marked in red on the mixer tap).
3. Connect the garden hose to the water inlet (6).
4. Switch the water supply on to fill the shower using the garden hose. When water comes out of
the shower head, the shower is full (takes 2−4 minutes).
5. Turn the mixer tap to the off position. The shower is now ready to begin absorbing heat from the sun to
heat the water.
Heating
Depending on the ambient temperature and the intensity of the sunlight, it can take more or less 3 hours to
heat the water.
Showering
On hot days with strong sunlight the temperature of the water in the shower can reach 60 °C.
For safety reasons, the mixer tap should therefore always be opened when it is set to cold (marked in blue
on the mixer tap) before gradually mixing in hot water (marked in red on the mixer tap).
The shower must be connected to a garden hose with the water turned on in order for it to work.
1. Set the water to cold before switching the shower on.
2. Turn the tap slowly towards the hot setting until you reach the desired temperature.
Note:
• If the shower has not been used for two days, it should be turned on fully for two minutes to let any
stagnant water run out. In hot environments stagnant water is a breeding ground for bacteria that can be
harmful to your health.
• If the shower has not been used for more than three days, it should be completely drained and filled with
fresh water.
• Water might continue to drip from the shower head for up to a minute after the shower has been turned off.
• The foot washer tap only supplies cold water.
Care and maintenance
• Clean the exterior of the shower by wiping it with a damp cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents,
never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• At the end of the season:
- Switch off and disconnect the garden hose from the water inlet (6).
- Lift the mixer lever (3) fully to open the water valve and turn the water on.
- Open the drain plug (7) and ensure that all the water runs out.
- Store the shower in a dry and frost-free location with the water valve open.
Responsible disposal
The product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your local council.
