    The Go-box is placed 'in between' the HDMI cable. The TV is usually connected to the external decoder by such an HDMI cable. This cable going into the Tv is now inserted in the Go-box, which in its' turn is then connected back to the TV with the cable that is included in the box.

  • Page 10: The Serial Number

    This serial number is important for any support questions. Standalone or Webbox extension The Go-box can either be bought as a standalone unit or as an extension for a Webbox. The latter version needs to be connected to the internet for interaction with the Webbox, for extended support and frequent software updates and will only work with a valid Webbox subscription.

    SETTING UP THE GO-BOX The Go-box merely needs power and a video source to start reading subtitles to you. This is described in the 'Basic setup' example below. Some other examples that may better suit your environment or your needs are also described.
  • Page 12 USB dongel and stick that into one of the USB connectors of the Go-box. Use the 5V adapter to power the Go-box from a wall-socket. Set the TV to the correct HDMI input (a.k.a. source) to watch the signal from the TV-settop box.

    Swapping cables to this input can be a temporary solution to use the Go-box with multiple video sources, but the following description explains how to use a so-called HDMI switch. Such a switch is not included with the Go-box, but can be bought in any electronics- or computer-store.
  • Page 14 HDMI selector and connect the output to the HDMI-IN connector of the Go-box. Use another HDMI cable to connect the HDMI-OUT of the Go-box to one of the HDMI inputs on the TV. Set the TV to the correct HDMI input to watch the signal from the TV-settop box.

    The [ON] button is located in the top right corner. This button will either switch the Go-box off (standby) or switch it on again. Just below these buttons, there is a pair of [Speed] buttons along the left side to set the speed at which the voice reads the subtitles.

    Adjust the reading-speed Some programs or movies have so many subtitles that you need to let the synthetic voice inside the Go-box read them to you a bit faster to keep up. You can find a pair of buttons on the left side of the remote control that control this speed.

    Adjust the headphones-volume You can connect headphones to the Go-box either with a cable (3.5mm jack plug in the USB dongel that came with the unit) or through bluetooth. You can find a pair of buttons on the right side of the remote control that control the headphones volume.

    MENU The Go-box menu allows you to change usually one-time settings. Press the [Menu] button (left to the [Up] button) and then use the [OK] button to choose from:  Speech  Profiles  Wifi  Bluetooth  Status Menu - Speech - Volume The spoken subtitles will be played at a certain volume compared to audio volume in the video.

    Menu - Speech - Balance The voice that reads the subtitles can be heard on both sides or just on the left or on the right speaker/earshell. Use the [Left] and [Right] buttons for the right setting instelling (e.g. center) and then press [Menu] or [Back] to exit the menu.

    Menu - Speech - Voice The voice that reads the subtitles can be selected, e.g. to select a male voice instead of a female voice. Use the [Left] and [Right] buttons for the right setting instelling (e.g. Rachel) and then press [Menu] or [Back] to exit the menu.

    Menu - Wifi The Go-box can be connected to the internet so that it can for instance download available software updates. This can be done either directly via a network cable to the router of your internet- provider, or through its' wireless network.

    Menu - Bluetooth Make sure that your bluetooth device is in so-called 'pairing mode' (see its' manual). The Go-box starts looking for bluetooth devices that are in 'pairing mode' when you open the Bluetooth menu. Select your device and press the [OK] button.

    Menu - Status The Status menu shows you the state of the license and some system details like the video quality of the decoder (x1080 preferred) software version and serial number.

    Enter the decoder's settings menu and set the video qualtity to 1080p or 1080i.  Can also use the Go-box when I just have a TV without an external decoder or other video-source? The Go-box can not function when the video is generated within the TV e.g.
