1. Overview The ICC1-IRX Display Controller delivers economical 1-way infrared display control for power, volume, channel, and input commands, receiving iCC-Net network commands over the same broadband coax that carries the CATV channels. The ICC1-IRX works in conjunction with the ICE-HE-DXL Display Control Center as part of a complete over the coax display control solution. ICC1-IRX Display Controllers receive the iCC-Net data channel and pass through analog and digital television channels to the TV’s internal tuner.
2. Installing the ICC1-IRX The ICC1-IRX may be attached to the rear of a flat panel display using the included Velcro tape. Connect the included power supply to the Pwr In connector. Connect the cable from the cable drop to the RF In and connect the included coax jumper cable from the RF Out to the TV’s tuner input.
5. Configuration The ICC1-IRX will receive all iCC-Net control commands transmitted over the RF network via the ICE-HE-DXL. The ICC1-IRX will accept commands intended for the unit based on its assigned zone and unit number and ignore all others. The commands are converted in the ICC1-IRX to IR commands specific to the make of TV that is set in its configuration.
Power Sensor Inputs Some TV types do not have discrete Power On and Power Off IR commands, but have a single command for power that will toggle the TV on and off. The power sensor inputs are available for more reliable operation with TV types that do not have discrete Power On and Power Off commands.

7. Setting the TV Type The TV display type may be set three ways. Send IR TV type command from ICE-HE-DXL Display Control Center front panel Setup menu. Send iCC-Net IR TV type command string to the ICE-HE-DXL Display Control Center from CR Toolbox software, Display Express software, or third-party control system processor.

8. iCC-Net Display Control Protocol The main components of the iCC-Net command string include the display device number, the command, and command parameters if required. Display Device Numbers A unique display device number from 1 to 4094 is assigned to each TV controller, tuner/controller, QIP-D decoder/controller, QIP-DVX decoder/controller, or tuner to which control commands are addressed.
String Format Every software application has a different denotation for handling hex, ASCII, and decimal formats. The examples in this manual are in AMX format, which is understood by many in the control industry: Hex values begin with a dollar ($) symbol ...
