• Do not open the Battery Charger. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the unit. EXPLOSIVE GASES — Do not use this product in the presence of flammable fumes or gases. Working in the vicinity of a lead-acid battery can cause an explosion of the battery being charged.
Preparing to Charge Determine voltage of battery by referring to car owner’s manual. If it is necessary to remove battery from vehicle to charge, or to clean terminals, always remove grounded terminal from battery first. Make sure all accessories in the vehicle are turned off to prevent arcing.

Battery Capacity Indicator – When lit it indicates that the battery capacity percentage mode has been selected and it will be shown on the LED display. The battery capacity range is “LO”, 60% to 90%, and “FUL”. When charging is complete, “FUL” will show on the LED display, no matter what display mode (current, voltage, battery capacity) was used when charging the battery.
Attach charger clamps to battery connections, as follows, ensuring a good connection (if there is a mistake, the reverse polarity indicator will light) when the Battery Charger is plugged in: Negative-Grounded Vehicle: Connect the positive (RED) charger clamp to the positive (POS, P, +) ungrounded battery terminal.
Charging Times The PKC0CV is a fully automatic battery charger. It automatically adjusts the charge rate as the battery becomes charged and stops charging when the battery is fully charged. If you require some estimate of the time it takes to charge a battery, refer to the chart below for approximate charge times.

Fault Codes The Battery Charger will display fault codes on the LED display when an error occurs. This will help you to troubleshoot the problem. Refer to the chart below for a list of the fault codes. Fault Code Condition Cause Solution Replace the battery.
