    The AP12 I/O and the AP14 I/O are identical to the AP12D and the AP14D respectively but include a universal I/O mounting kit in the package. AP12R – is suitable for push-pull cable steered power boats up to 9m (30 ft) in length. AP14R – offers the same facilities as the AP12R with additional remote control facilities.

  • Page 17 SIMRAD Issue 1.1 18/07/03 CIRCUIT DESCRIPTIONS SRD12 PCB Assembly Introduction. The SRD12 is the heart of the Rotary Powerpilot and all other units are linked to the SRD12. It decodes the information from the heading sender and calculates the heading, acts upon user commands sent from the control unit, detects drive gearbox clutch engagement, reads the Hall Effect quadrature feedback and controls the gearbox motor drive.

Using a fluxgate element it detects the earth’s magnetic field, calculates the sine and cosine values and passes the information to the course computer. The circuit diagram for the PCB is given in Drawing No. E02777.

The microprocessor reads the key matrix S1 to S9 directly, gives the relevant commands to the LCD and the Bus and provides drive signals to the back-light via TR1 and to the buzzer via TR2.
