However, it is recommended that a client specific assessment is completed by a trained and knowledgeable health care professional to determine the method of transfer and use.

    4 . 3 Attaching the armrest Remove the armrests from their packaging and remove the 2 star handle black nuts from the plastic bag that was previously removed from the frame. Insert the armrest legs into the sockets, ensuring the rivet is at the front, as shown below in Fig 4.3-1. Tighten the star handle black nuts to secure the armrests in place, as shown below in Fig 4.3-2.

    4 . 5 . 3 Toe Straps with Velcro ® Brand fastener Remove the Toe Straps from the packaging. b. Detach the hook and loop fastening on the top and bottom of the strap, enabling the straps to be threaded through the slots on the footrest. Make sure the longer of the two straps is threaded to the outer side of the footrests, as shown below in Fig.

Detach the strap from the hook and loop fastening to allow it to be threaded around the bottom of the frame, as shown below in Fig. 4.5.6-1. Securing the strap in place by re-attaching it to the hook and loop fastening.

Both the Padded Foot Tray and Individual Padded Foot Trays fit to the footplate in the same way. Please consult Fig. 4.5.12-1 and Fig. 4.5.12-3 below, for clarification on the difference between these products. Position the Padded Foot Tray or Individual Padded Foot Trays onto the footplates and firmly press down until they click into position, as shown below in Fig.

    Environmental Conditions The sections below will give detailed information regarding the environmental conditions the product should maintain throughout its life cycle.     Daily Checks Inspection is to be completed prior to each use by the user of the shower chair. Should any of the components in the table below fail the inspection, DO NOT use the shower chair. Contact your local authorised dealer for service – contact details are on the last page of this manual. Ensure all component inspections in the table below are completed prior to each use of the shower chair.

    Cleaning To reduce the risk of cross-contamination it is recommended to clean the shower chair and accessories before use by a different person. Please follow the recommended cleaning guidelines below on cleaning and disinfecting the shower chair. 9 . 1 Metal Frame Cleaning The metal frames of the chairs are powder-coated with a coating containing a silver anti-microbial additive.

    Servicing Regular servicing on the shower chair will help prevent breakdowns and reduce repair costs. It will also improve the quality of the product for the end users. To reduce the risk of injury, no service is to be carried out on the shower chair while in use. Service must be completed by an authorised service engineer only.
