  • Page 2 1) Installing the Battery backup Connect the battery before you attach the main alarm unit to the water supply! On the bottom of the main unit, remove the battery cover. Extract the battery connection cables. Connect the battery to the connection cable and insert it back into the main unit. Replace the cover. 2) Installing the Main Alarm Unit Before installing the main alarm unit, check that you have connected the battery.
  • Page 3 4) Setting the volume: This sets the amount of water in litres that will continuously flow before the unit goes into alarm and shuts the valve. (Example: running a bath will take approximately 100L) 1) Press and hold the MENU button for 5 seconds. 2) Press the MENU button two times.
  • Page 4 [NOTE: setting the value to zero will switch off this feature] 9) Setting the Holiday Feature: This setting is used to close the valve when there is no flow of water through the main SLD-1 alarm. This is set in number of days.
  • Page 5 [NOTE: setting the value to zero will switch off this feature] 11) Pair the remote sensors: Make sure the SLD-1 Main Alarm panel is connected to the mains power. It will not pair if running on battery backup. 1) Press the MENU button briefly for 5 times. The menu button will flash.
  • Page 6 When the voltage is below 3.3V in the remote sensor, it will enter low power mode. The battery symbol on the main SLD-1 will flash. The panel will bleep 10 times. This will repeat every hour. Below 3.0V there will be no battery indicator and the LED screen will be blank.
