Serial Gateway

• This example depicts a scenario where the configured Advantech router grants access to a PLC
device interfaced serially with the router.
• The PLC device, accessible over the entire Internet network, can be controlled from a remote local
network, such as one running a SCADA system.
• This functionality is exclusive to routers equipped with a serial interface.
