FU Amplifier Proportional AS 1 Description 1.6.2.2 Operation Mode Local In operating mode LOCAL the rudder machinery is controlled by the pushbuttons PORT and STBD of the FU Amplifier Proportional AS. Operating mode LOCAL is normally only used for service work or in an emergency. No operation from location BRIDGE is possible. When operating mode LOCAL is selected, the relay D1 on the NFU PCB is released.
FU Amplifier Proportional AS 1 Description Steering Mode Main In steering mode Main the limit switches cannot be operated in the rudder feedback unit, as the control limit does not permit this. If the limit switches in the rudder feedback units are activated in steering mode Main (rudder limiting), the bypass valve is opened by the function Unload until it is controlled to the opposite direction and the rudder limiting has stopped.
FU Amplifier Proportional AS 1 Description Fig. 3: Rudder Control Circuit, Principle 1.6.3 Emergency Operation If the steering gear is provided with an emergency switch, it is possible to deactivate the FU Amplifier Proportional AS by use of the switch. 1.6.4 CAN Bus Technology bus is a multi-master bus allowing the connection of all Controller Area Network (CAN)
