  • Page 5: Step 1: Pump Installation

Step 1: Pump Installation • Ensure that all Jet Thruster parts are adequately protected from contact with bilge water to prevent • corrosion and damage. • Install a pump-zinc anode when operating the system in saltwater to minimize corrosion risks.
  • Page 6: Step 2: Battery Placement

Step 2: Battery Placement • Batteries should be placed directly next to the pump to minimize the battery cable length. • Utilize Optima Yellowtop batteries with a capacity of 75Ah for optimal performance. • Mount the batteries on waterproof plywood and securely fasten them to prevent movement or damage. •...
  • Page 7 • Install the top side of the nozzle tubes approximately 7-10 cm below the waterline to maximize efficiency. • Jet Thruster nozzles work differently compared to traditional tunnel thrusters: Place the Jet Thruster nozzles close to the waterline. Avoid placing nozzles deep below the waterline, as this is NOT beneficial.
  • Page 8 Step 4: Threaded Parts Preparation and Sealant Application • Thoroughly clean all threaded parts using brake cleaner and dry them with a clean paper towel to remove contaminants. • Apply a generous amount of polyurethane (PU) sealant to both threaded parts before connecting them to ensure a watertight seal.
