USING AVR 5 REMOTE CONTROL
AVR 5 remote control handset handles the key functions of T 758. AVR 5 is also compatible
with C 390DD, T 737, T 747, T 748 and T 757. It will operate up to a distance of 10 meters
(straight line) and 6 meters (±30 degrees). Alkaline batteries are recommended for maximum

operating life. Two AA batteries should be fitted in the battery compartment at the rear of the
remote control handset. When replacing batteries, check that they have been put in the right
way round, as indicated on the base of the battery compartment.
IMPORTANT
Certain keys on the AVR 5 remote control have functions tailored specifically to NAD
products. Each key may offer various function descriptions. Select the function that applies

to your NAD product. Additionally, consult your NAD product manual to verify if a key
applies to your specific product.
1 ON/OFF
AVR 5 remote control has a separate ON and OFF button.
Press ON button to switch from Standby mode to operating mode.
Press OFF button to switch Standby mode.
2 VOL D/F
Increase or decrease volume level

EQ
Toggle to select through saved Dirac filters or turn off Dirac
Enable or disable Equalization (EQ) effect as set up at Auto Calibration.
Bring up the adjustable Equalization parameters - Frequency, Level and EQ levels.
SOURCE D/F
Select through enabled Sources

(MUTE)
Temporarily mute audio output or restore audio from mute mode
Adjusting the volume level via VOL D/F or the front panel volume knob will
automatically release the mute function.
MUTE mode is indicated by "Mute" shown in the front panel display.

Select desired listening or surround mode

Return to previous menu or exit from the current menu
MENU, S, ENTER
Display MAIN MENU On-Screen-Display (OSD) by pressing any of the following
buttons – MENU, S or ENTER. MAIN MENU OSD will be displayed via the connected
video output device (i.e., TV).
A/S/D/F, ENTER
Select an item in a menu by going left or right [A/S], up or down [D/F] and pressing
ENTER to confirm a selection.
Pressing [A] will also return the user to the previous menu or exit from a particular
menu.
INFO
Toggle to show in the front panel display current Source's supplied information.
With the optional MDC DD BluOS installed, press and hold INFO to turn ON or OFF
BluOS Setup menu ("BluOS Setup ON" or "BluOS Setup OFF" is displayed at the front
panel display).
4 INPUT SELECTOR
Press "1" (as in INPUT 1) up to "9" to recall or select an assigned input. One can assign
any connected input or source to "1" (INPUT 1) and so on.
