Some quick and easy tips to resolving problems
Symptoms
Power
No Power.
No Source image.
Clock Time
Clock time is wrong.
Picture Reception
Poor or no picture.
Local interference.
Poor or no color.
Picture wobbles or drifts.
No CATV reception.
Images in picture distorted. • Wrong aspect ratio.
Poor or no sound.
TV turns On.
TV turns Off.
No Closed Captions or Text.
Captions appear when
sound is muted.

Possible Cause(s)
• AC Power Cord not connected.
• Local power failure?
• Source turned off.
• Source not selected.
• Wrong time set.
• TV station problems.
• Video menu not adjusted properly. -Check Video menu option settings.
• Check for disturbing source.
• Appliance too close to TV.
• Sub-standard broadcast.
• Sub-standard cable signal.
• CATV wire not connected or loose. -Make or tighten connection.
• Local interference.
• Scrambled CATV channel.
• Cable wire not connected.
• Cable service interrupted.
• Antenna set, not Cable (CATV).
• Audio muted.
• Broadcast problem.
• Internal Speakers turned off.
• Security Timer turned TV On.
• Security Timer turned TV Off.
• Sleep Timer turned TV Off.
• Not available on program.
• Not turned on.
• EZ Mute selected.
Possible Solution(s)
-Connect power cord. Try a different power outlet.
-Contact power company for information.
-Turn Source equipment on.
-Use SOURCE to choose correct picture and sound source.
-Set clock to correct time.
-Try a different channel.
The following may cause image problems or distortion:
Electrical appliances, powerful lights, cars, trucks; computers or
portable phones; medical equipment; VCR to close to TV, etc.
-If possible increase the distance between your Entertainment
Machine and the offending appliance. Or shut one of them off.
-Try a different channel.
-Notify cable company of reception problem.
-Try different channel. Turn off interfering appliance.
-Tune to unscrambled channel.
-Connect cable to Antenna/Cable.
-Contact cable service.
-Select Cable in Signal Source menu.
-Use ASPECT to change to correct picture proportion.
-Press MUTE or VOL (Volume) + key to increase sound level.
-Tune to a different channel.
-Turn Internal Speakers on in Audio Menu.
-Cancel Security Timer, and/or turn TV off.
-Turn TV back on.
-Turn TV back on.
-Check local TV listings to see if available on broadcast.
-Relocate over-the-air antenna.
-Try a different channel with Closed Captions or Text.
-Pick a Closed Caption or Text option and turn Captions on.
-Set Captions option to off.
