Customize and edit your GUIDE Plus+ GOLD system Program Grid menu and setup - - Troubleshoot problems
VCR Plus+ Recording
Press VCR+ RECORD to record using PlusCode programming
numbers. (With a program highlighted on the grid, press-
ing INFO shows the program's PlusCode programming num-
ber, if provided.)
PIP Lock
Picture remains of original channel as other channels are
selected. (Note: Press PIP to lock/unlock.)
PIP Unlock
Picture is shown of channel as it is highlighted in Program
Grid Guide.
Menu Bar
Option Descriptions
Grid - Displays program listings by channel and time.
Sort - Displays program listing by category for example,
Sports, Movies, etc.
News - Provides access to top news stories.
See page 53. Using the News feature.
Schedule - Shows date, title, and start time of the pro-
grams that are scheduled to be watched or recorded. Also
allows the user to delete any programs, and make changes
to the recording schedule from Once to Daily, or Weekly.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Won't record or watch
- Setup was not performed.
No picture or sound from cable box
- Cable box must be left on, even if TV is turned Off.
- G-LINK cable not connected to G-LINK jack.
Doesn't Display Any Programs In Grid
- TV not turned off long enough for data to be received.
- Cables not connected?
Only Records In SP (Short Play)
- Set up VCR per instructions provided in owner's manual.
- Press PIP CH, FREEZ or VCR+ RECORD as needed to get

(Select recording speed on VCR, see VCR owner's manual.)
Messages - Displays a list of messages sent to the Guide.
Editor - Displays network/channel lineup available; each
channel may be turned on or off. (Will appear, or set to
not appear on Program Grid.)
Setup - Use to change Guide Setup, Zip or Postal Code,
Cable Box and VCR settings and also to view the GUIDE
Plus+ GOLD system Overview Demo.
OPTIONS (GUIDE Plus+ Grid TV On/Off Setup)
- Each time you turn your TV on, the GUIDE Plus+ program
grid display appears on the screen automatically.
- To remove GUIDE Plus+ grid, press QUIT or GUIDE.
Note: To turn off GUIDE Plus+ Grid Display at TV turn on
- Once the GUIDE Plus+ system is set up, you can change the
display on/off option so that when the TV is turned on, the
GUIDE Plus+ program grid display will not automatically appear.
See below.
GUIDE Plus+ Program Grid Auto Display: On/Off menu.
Select:
On = When TV is turned on, GUIDE Plus+ program grid
display will appear on the screen.
Off = When TV is turned on, GUIDE Plus+ program grid
display will not appear on the screen.
watch/recording options: Once, Daily, Weekly.
Won't Tune To Selected Program
- Program may not be available or is not currently being
broadcast.
Can't Find All Networks/Channels For My Local Area
- May need to use the Editor option on Menu Bar to
assign missing networks/channels channel numbers and
then turn those channels on.
