Notes on writing index markers
e Check that the cassette is not record-protected.
e You cannot write index markers on an unrecorded
portion of the tape.
e Ensure that there is a gap of at least two or three
minutes between successive markers. If they are too
close together, this may lead to incorrect index
operations.
e If you write a marker during playback, the playback
sound is muted, but the recording on the tape is not
affected.
Automatic mode
An index marker is written automatically each time
you start recording from the stopped state.
