TEST PROCEDURE 25. USB Type B Jack Test 25.1 The USB B port is automatically tested by using a USB A/B cable to perform the firmware update on the Mixer. This ensures that a communication connection has been made between the PC and the unit. The firmware update process is outlined on pages 45 and 46 of this manual.
3. USB A/B cable Downloading the L1 Updater Software Go to the Bose Musicians Portable PA Community forum page at http://www.bose.com/musicians. Click on Downloads. Select L1 Software Updater. You will be taken to the Downloads page. Select the version for PC or Mac for your computer type. Save the .zip file to a known location on your PC.

FIRMWARE UPDATE PROCEDURE 6. While the update is in process, you will see a progress bar. The update process takes about seven minutes to complete. CAUTION: DO NOT turn off/disconnect power or disconnect the USB cable during this update. 7. Once the update is complete, you will see the Update Done dialog box stating that the update process was successful.
