Mechanical Removal
A. How to remove chassis cover
1. Detach the erase safety lever spring as illustrated (See fig. 5).
2. With the set screws removed, the chassis cover can be detached (See fig. 6).

B. How to remove head base plate
(Note: The base plate can be detached without removing the chassis cover.)
1. Remove three set screws to detach the push button unit (See fig. 7).
2. Remove the set screw and stop ring, then the head base plate can be detached (See fig. 8).

C. How to remove lower base plate
1. Remove the set screw to detach the flywheel belt cover (See fig. 9).
2. Detach the snap rings of the takeup and supply reel tables (See fig. 10).
3. Remove the set screws of lower base plate (See fig. 11).
4. Press the lock release lever that can be seen from the opening in the lower base plate in the direction of the arrow, and lift
the base plate slightly, and then detach the lock release lever spring. Thus the lower base plate can be detached (See fig. 12).
