materials, drill 2 small holes at the same width as the pins and no deeper than the length of the pins. Then
touch the bottom of the holes with the tips of the measuring pins. To measure moisture in concrete and other
porous materials you need only touch the surface as there is no need to penetrate into porous materials.
When removing the protective cover be careful not to hurt your hand on the pins.
In some cases, readings may not be even across different locations of the same
material due to changes in the density of the material.
When a surface of an object is
conductive, as with a metallic
material, the maximum reading
of ''50'' or ''33'' will appear on
the LDC screen.
Tracing Water Leakage
Touch the "measuring" pins to surfaces such as concrete,
wood, plaster, dry walls or ceiling. Notice the reading on the
LCD display, continuously take the measurement at different
locations approaching "higher" readings. Leakage is located
when the reading remains at "highest value".

IMPORTANT NOTES

Gently push the measuring pins into the material to be
measured. Do not use excessive force. Do not bang or forcefully
push in to hard materials such as concrete. To more accurately
measure moisture below the surface of hard, non-porous
