Ideal for wood heating appliances owners to accurately measure moisture content in wood
logs.
Since water is non combustible, heat forces it out of the fuel in the form of steam. This
evaporation process is heat absorbing, so in the early stage of combustion, little heat is left
over from the process to be given off. The more water in the fuel, the more wasted energy
and the less heat output.
CAUTION: Handle whit care when removing protective cover!

HOW TO USE

1. Remove the ''protective cover'' form the top of the meter and attach
it to the bottom side.

Check the moisture of wood logs.
The amount of water, the moisture content, varies widely.
Moisture reduces combustion efficiency dramatically.
Insert de ''measuring pins'' in to the wood logs, read the values on the LCD.
You will hear beeping sounds with different tones indicating different
moisture levels. Wood logs with lower moisture level will give you more
heat.
Please consult the followingchart to find the corresponded the calorific
value of wood :
MOISTURE LEVEL
Wood (<5% moisture)
Wood (20% moisture)
Wood (50% moisture)

' switch once to freeze (hold) the reading when measuring
in a dark place and it's difficult to see reading.
