- Page 3 Step 4. Open the locks underneath and pull the ends apart, fully extended. Step 5. Place the extension leaf sub assy in the opening. LEAVES LEGS Step 6. Slide the leaf sub assy to one end so that mating edges are tightly. Then, turn the lever of the table locks underneath to close position.
