1.4 Safety warnings (signage)
It is important to ensure that the original safety & warning notifications applied to the interior and exterior of the iESS
system remain protected from damage as well as clearly visible to minimise accidents and injuries.
•
Safety warning signage should be kept clean, unobstructed & clearly visible at all times.
•
Damaged safety warning signage should be repaired and/or replaced as soon as possible.
•
Safety warnings should be applied and remain in close proximity to the hazards/dangers that each refers to.
In the event of performing maintenance and/or repair procedures in or around iESS systems, additional signage might
have to be placed around the site in question. Temporary signage should also remain unobstructed & clearly visible.
If necessary, appropriate barriers and/or fencing should also be erected to prevent unauthorized access to the site.
Temporary safety warnings & barriers should be removed upon completion of repair/maintenance procedures, and the
site should be left in a safe condition.
1.5 Emergency & first aid procedures
