3.19.2 Turning on or off the answering machine
1.
Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select ANS. MACHINE.
2.
Press <MENU> and <+/-> to select ANSWERER ON or ANSWERER OFF. If the answering machine is turned
on originally, ANSWERER OFF will be displayed. If the answering machine is turned off originally,
ANSWERER ON will be displayed.

Press <MENU> to confirm the setting.
OR
3.
Press <ANS. ON/OFF> to toggle between answering machine on and answering machine off.
3.19.3 Setting the announcement mode
1.
Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select ANS. MACHINE.
2.
Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select ANSWER MODE.
3.
Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select the announcement modes:

ANNC & REC invites your callers to leave a message.
․
ANNC ONLY lets callers hear your announcement but they cannot leave a message.
4.
Press <MENU> to save the setting.
3.19.4 Setting the rings to answer
1.
Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select ANS. MACHINE.
2.
Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select RINGS TO ANS.
3.
Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select the rings to answer. (4 options are available: TOLL SAVER, 3
RINGS, 4 RINGS, and 5 RINGS).
4.
Press <MENU> to save the setting.
NOTE
If TOLL SAVER setting is selected, the answering machine will pick up after three rings if there are new messages,
and after five rings if there is no message.
3.19.5 Announcement
This is the message your callers hear on the answering machine. There are two pre-recorded outgoing messages,
or you can record your own message.
3.19.5.1
Recording the announcement
1. Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select ANS. MACHINE.
2. Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select ANNOUNCEMENT.
3. Press <MENU> to select RECORD.
4. Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select the answer mode ANNC & REC or ANNC ONLY.
5. Press <MENU> to start recording after the beep.
6. Press <MENU> again to stop recording and save the message. The just saved message is played
automatically.
NOTE
You can also record the announcement by pressing and holding <Skip Backward/OGM> to start recording after a
beep sound is heard. Press <MENU> to stop recording and save the message.
NOTE
When playing the recorded message, press <MUTE/CLEAR/X/FIND> to delete it and the pre-recorded message
will be set automatically.

Playing the announcement
1.
Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select ANS. MACHINE.
2.
Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select ANNOUNCEMENT.
3.
Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select PLAYBACK.
4.
Press <MENU> and then <+/-> to select the answer mode ANNC & REC or ANNC ONLY.
5.
Press <MENU> and the message will be played.
