Chilling of drinks
The chilled-drinks container, located on
the inner door of the refrigerator
compartment, can be easily removed
from its runners when it has to be
refilled.
To get a drink all you have to do is press
the glass against the arms of the
dispenser tap. When you remove the
glass the tap automatically stops
dispensing.
As far as cleaning of the chilled-drinks
container is concerned, it should be left
to stand filled with hot water and then
rinsed several times. To ensure thorough
cleaning of the container, it is a good
idea to add a tablespoonful of
bicarbonate of soda to the water.
The tap should be turned off and on
several times so as to free it of any
sugar deposits that may have formed.
After this the container should then be
emptied and rinsed with fresh water.

Defrosting of freezer
and refrigerator
The inner walls of the freezer are
automatically defrosted approximately
every 24 hours when the appliance is
operating in the storage mode. When, on
the other hand, the appliance is
operating in the quick-freeze mode,
defrosting takes place every 8 hours.
Naturally, this period may vary slightly,
since it depends on room temperature,
the number of times the door is opened,
the amount of food stored and the place
in which the appliance is positioned.
In the case of the refrigerator, the
evaporator of the refrigerator
compartment is automatically defrosted
every time the compressor stops
operating.
The water produced by defrosting flows
away — in the case of both the freezer
and refrigerator compartments —
through special drainage grooves in the
two areas to two containers positioned in
the back of the refrigerator-freezer above
the compressors (Fig. 8), where it then
evaporates.
