    INTRODUCCIÓN • La Flocare Infinity + es una bomba de alimentación enteral peristáltica rotativa, pequeña y ligera, diseñada para ofrecer unas dosis programadas ® ™ de soluciones de nutrición enteral en las velocidades seleccionadas. La bomba de nutrición Flocare Infinity está destinada a ser utilizada para administrar nutrición enteral o soluciones de hidratación de forma segura, controlada e intuitiva en el tracto gastrointestinal de un paciente.

  • Page 9 • Si se prescriben como alimentación enteral por sonda otras formas distintas de una fórmula estándar lista para la alimentación (es decir, soluci- ones alimentarias preenvasadas o preparadas comercialmente), debe hacerse con precaución y en supervisión bajo el profesional sanitario. Los alimentos suministrados como alimentación por sonda deben ser de naturaleza homogénea y deben permanecer homogéneos durante el régimen de alimentación, ya que las partículas más grandes o los alimentos de alta viscosidad podrían provocar bloqueos en la línea de alimentación.

    SERVICIO Y GARANTÍA Vida útil del servicio: la bomba no requiere mantenimiento externo en condiciones normales de uso, incluida la limpieza e inspección adecuadas, si se cumplen los protocolos (grietas, rotor y adaptador de alimentación) durante un período de 5 años La vida útil esperada de la batería es de 2 a 5 años, según el uso y la cantidad de ciclos de carga.

El programa de nutrición (los parámetros programados) y el volumen total administrado desde la última vez que se borró la memoria se conservarán en la memoria de la bomba.
  • Page 12 PANTALLA La bomba consta de una pantalla de cristal líquido (LCD) con grandes caracteres alfanuméricos, símbolos más pequeños, palabras e iluminación de fondo. En la pantalla puede encontrarse la siguiente información: • El flujo (ml/h) y el volumen (ml) se visualizan con caracteres grandes. Los que aparecen a continuación describen a qué se refiere el número (velocidad, ml/h, volumen total, volumen de bolo, intervalo de bolo, volumen total administrado).

    FUNCIONES DE ALARMA Y CARACTERÍSTICAS DE SEGURIDAD En caso de que se produzca alguna de las situaciones recogidas en el cuadro de solución de problemas, la bomba emite una alarma audible y visual y deja de funcionar. La iluminación de la pantalla se enciende automáticamente. La excepción a esto es el caso de alarma por batería baja “BATT”, en esta situación la bomba sigue funcionando.

    INTRODUCTION • The Flocare Infinity + is a small, lightweight, rotary peristaltic enteral feeding pump designed to deliver programmed doses of enteral nutrition ® ™ solutions at selectable rates. INTENDED USE The Flocare Infinity is intended to be used to administer enteral nutrition or hydration fluids in a safe, controlled and intuitive manner into the gastroin- testinal tract of a patient.

    WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS General warnings • Only use the Flocare Infinity enteral feeding pump for delivery of enteral feeding solutions or hydration fluids and liquids. Do not use for intravenous administration of infusions. • Before using or setting up a feeding regimen, check the integrity of the pump. Do not use the pump if it is damaged. If a technical failure occurs or if the pump is dropped, the pump should be checked by a qualified technician.

    • Mixed or reconstituted nutrition may have foam. If using this type of nutrition, allow it to sit for some time until the foam has been dissolved before pouring it into a feeding reservoir. This will reduce the chance of an ‘AIR in giving set’ alarm. •...
  • Page 24 Limitations of warranty Solely for the benefit of the original buyer/user, Nutricia Medical Devices B.V, warrants all new Flocare Infinity pumps, of its manufacture to be free from defects in ® ™ material and workmanship, excluding normal wear and tear, and will replace or repair, at its service facility or other location designated by Nutricia Medical Devices B.V, any Flocare Infinity pump returned to it within thirty-six (36) months of original purchase by the buyer/user.

The feeding program (installed parameters) and total volume administered since the last clearance will be retained in the pump’s memory. If the pump shuts down due to low battery voltage, the memory will be retained for 24 hours.

CONNECTION TO AN EXTERNAL ALARM SYSTEM The power connector at the side of the pump offers the option of connecting the pump to an external alarm system or Patient Data Monitoring System (PDMS).
