Your Purchase
Depending on your needs, you have either received a RUBY 10 or RUBY 10 Speech.
RUBY 10 Speech includes optical character recognition (OCR) and speech
functionality—not RUBY 10. If you have RUBY 10, please disregard sections of this
user's guide that describe the speech or scanning controls.
Warranty
Congratulations on your purchase of the RUBY 10 or RUBY 10 Speech Video
Magnifier. To register your product and validate your warranty, visit the
Scientific website.
Caution: These devices have no user-serviceable components. Any unauthorized
attempt to service or replace internal components by opening the case will
void the product warranty.

If you need to return your unit, the technical support specialist will issue a Return
Materials Authorization (RMA) number that must be referenced on the outside of the
package containing your returned unit. Your unit or its accessory will then be exchanged
or repaired as needed.
