COMPOSITE VIDEO WHITE BALANCE
ADJUSTMENT
(NTSC)
. Push the system changeover SW, NTSC on.
. Input the pedestal signal (Black-level pattern) to Video
A or B terminal.
. Adjust the CONTRAST
VR on the front panel, then ad-
just the COMPOSITE
WHITE
BALANCE
VR (R1778)
so that the white balance on the picture will be stable.
ADJUSTMENT OF RGB BRIGHT & WHITE
BALANCE
. Push the Input changeover SW, ANALOG
RGB on.
. BRIGHT,
CONTRAST,
COLOR
adjustment
and
the
contrast
adjustment
of
ANALOG
RGB
should
be
already finished.
. Input the ANALOG
RGB
signal
(cross-hatch pattern)
to each RGB Input terminal.
. Connect
an oscilloscope to TP-47B on the CRT Socket
PB Ass'y. (Voltage range is fixed to 10V).
. Adjust the
RGB
BRIGHT
VR
(R1768)
so that the
Bright pulse corresponds
to the Black level, as shown
in the figure below.

. Connect
each
oscilloscope
(two
waveforms)
simu-
itaneously
to TP-(B-Y) and TP-(R-Y)
on the Signal PB
Ass'y. (Power supply range is fixed to 5mV)

Level on.
. Adjustment of white balance should be already finished.
. Input 1.0 Vp-p luminance signal to the Y Input terminal
of the component.
. Connect
each oscilloscope (two waveforms) simultane-
ously to TP-(B-Y) and TP-(R-Y) on the Signal PB Ass'y.
(Voltage range is fixed to 5mV)
. After adjusting, confirm that the white balance will be
stable on the picture even if the COLOR/MONO SW on
the front panel may be switched ON or OFF.

. Push the Input changeover SW Video A or B on. (Choose
each corresponding switch that is input to either Video
A terminal or B terminal on.)
. Turn the APERTURE

. Connect an oscilloscope between TP-Y and GND on the

. Adjust the SUB

of monochrome-scope
pattern
