The QAN 4 S asynchronous motor is not available any more. It is replaced by QAN 260 M.
Caution!
Hardware compatibility:
The QAN 260M is compatible to the QAN 4S in its mounting dimensions and electrical specifications!
Adaptations required in the HEIDENHAIN control:
After installation of the QAN 260M, the HEIDENHAIN control still needs to be adapted.
1. Press the EMERGENCY STOP button and switch on the main switch of the machine.
2. Do NOT acknowledge the "Power interrupted" message!
3. Check whether "QAN-260M-8000" exists in the motor table of the HEIDENHAIN control.
If this is not the case, enter the motor with its specifications in a new line in the motor table using
the table on page 3.
4. Assign the new motor QAN-260M-8000 to the corresponding machine parameters for the main
spindle (in iTNC 530: MP 2200.x)!
5. If the main spindle does not feature a separate position encoder, the line count of the position
encoder of the main spindle must be changed in the respective machine parameter from 2048 to
1024 (in iTNC 530: MP 3142).
6. Switch on the machine.
7. Check the 0° position of your main spindle.
