This equipment generates and uses radio frequency energy and if
not installed and used properly, that is, in strict accordance with
the manufacture's instructions, may cause interference to radio
and television reception. It has been type tested and found to
comply with the limits for a Class
B computing device in accor-
dance with the specifications in Subpart J of Part 15 of FCC
Rules, which
are designed
to provide
reasonable
protection
against such interference in a residential installation. However,
there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause interference to radio or
television reception, which
can be determined
by turning the
equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the
interference by one or more of the following measures:

reorient the receiving antenna
1. Remove the headshel! from the tonearm
Use a small screwdriver to rotate the anchoring screw in
the direction indicated by the arrow to remove the head-
shell,
When removing the headshell,
hold this part with your hand.

2. Connect the headshell leads to the cartridge
The polarities of the leads are color-coded.
Plug them into the correct terminal tips.

Red:
Right channel (R)

Green:
Right channel ground (RG)

White:
Left channel (L)

Blue:
Left channel ground (LG)
3. Attach the cartridge to the headshell
Attach the screws, nuts and washers provided to the
cartridge. Keep the screws loose.

Since this turntable does not come with a cartridge, provide one of your own choosing and attach it to the head-
shell as below. This turntable uses a cartridge which weighs between 3 and 8 g.

relocate the turntable with respect to the receiver

move the turntable away from the receiver

plug the turntable into a different outlet so that turntable and
receiver are on different branch circuits.
If necessary, the user should consult the dealer or an experienced
radio/television technician for additional! suggestions. The user
may find the following booklet prepared by the Federal Com-
munications Comission helpful:
"'How to Identify and Resolve Ratio-TV Interference Problems'.
This booklet is available from the US Government Printing Office,
Washington, D.C., 20402, Stock No. 004-000-00345-4.
The above instructions apply only to units which will be
operated in the United States.

4. Adjust the mounting position of the cartridge

Stylus position: As shown in the figure, the stylus

As shown in the figure, make the
cartridge parallel to the headshell.

5. After having tightened up the screws, attach the head-
shell to the tonearm (following the procedure given in
step 1 in reverse).
