Whether it’s to fatten up an instrument take, smooth out a vocal performance or prevent clipping while laying down tracks, the ART Solo Studio will elevate your projects to the next level. The Solo Studio has lots of sound shaping options, these options will help you create a signature sound that is right for you. -

2. Input Combo-Jack The Solo Studio ’s combo connector follows the AES standard of Pin 1 = Ground, Pin 2 = Hot (+), Pin 3 = Cold (-). The Balanced inputs have an input impedance Balanced 47K ohms and >800K ohms Un-balanced. The Maximum input level is +19dBu balanced and +17dBu unbalanced. -

Additional gain from the Analog Output control (+15dB) for a maximum total of 55dB. Note: Running most of the gain on the input generally provides the best performance of the Solo Studio. For the best results refer to the section titled “Obtaining the best noise performance with the Solo Studio”... -

3. Balanced Outputs The output of the Solo Studio is available on both the balanced ¼-inch TRS jack and XLR jacks. This output is active bal- anced. The output has a 100 Ohm impedance into a balanced or unbalanced load. -

Compressor/Limiter The one application of the Solo Studio is to control the dynamic range of an audio signal. Plug a line level (post preamplifier or other gain stage) source into the input, and set the threshold and output controls to provide the desired amount of compression to the input signal. -
