Floor Mat Installation Use only floor mats designed specifically for vehicles of the same model and model year as your vehicle. Fix them securely in place onto the carpet. Insert the retaining hooks (clips) into the floor mat eyelets. Turn the upper knob of each retaining hook (clip) to secure the floor mats in place.

Smart Access System with Push-button Start The following operations can be performed simply by carrying the electronic (including the card key) key on your person, for example in your pocket. Engine (Ignition) Switch Performing the following operations when carrying the electronic key on your person starts the engine or changes engine switch modes. Starting the engine Pull the parking brake switch to check that the parking brake is set. (P.25) The parking brake indicator will come on.

If your vehicle has to be stopped in an emergency Only in an emergency, such as if it becomes impossible to stop the vehicle in the normal way, stop the vehicle using the following procedure: Steadily step on the brake pedal with both feet and firmly depress it. Do not pump the brake pedal repeatedly as this will increase the effort required to slow the vehicle.
Automatic Transmission Shifting the shift lever While the engine switch is in ON and the brake pedal depressed , shift the shift lever while pushing the shift release button on the shift knob. Turning the automatic mode on While the vehicle is stopped, pull and hold the parking brake switch until a buzzer sounds and “EPB Shift Interlock Function Activated” is displayed on the multi-information display. When the automatic mode is turned on, the parking brake operates as follows.
Brake Hold The brake hold system keeps the brake applied when the shift lever is in D, M or N with the system on and the brake pedal has been depressed to stop the vehicle. The system releases the brake when the accelerator pedal is depressed with the shift lever in D or M to allow smooth start off.
Multi-information Display The multi-information display presents the driver with a variety of vehicle data.
