    - Maintenance The operator in charge of maintenance is a skilled technician, able to work on Gryf device when protections are open and to act on mechanical and electrical elements to carry out adjustments, maintenance and repairs.

  • Page 7: Precautions For Storage And Handling

    PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE AND HANDLING Storage GRYF must be kept inside its own package and stored in a room with temperature included between 0 °C and 50 °C, with non-condensing umidity. Trasportation GRYF includes sensitive parts, therefore it must be moved properly packed, to avoid damages.

    It’s peculiarity is the possibility to be programmed to feed the yarn with different tensions, depending on the phase of garment production. GRYF is able to keep unchanged the yarn tension that has been set for each production step. Yarn feeding tension is due to revolution speed of yarn winding pulley.
  • Page 9 On the top of GRYF device there is a dovetail joint, to be used for fittings insertion. At the bottom, under the sensor, there is the eyelet for yarn incoming. Status indicator is available on the top. As soon as GRYF device is powered, the colours of the Italian flag appear for a while.

    REMARK The number of windings on the pulley and the shaft has to be stated considering yarn type and environmental conditions, to enable Gryf device to unwind the yarn easily.  The yarn coming from the pulley must pass over the sensor for tension measuring (5) and after that it must be put into the eyelet for outgoing (6).
