Operating instructions
@ Auto tuning reception
1) Set the input selector of the amplifier to TUNER.
(2) Press the POWER switch.
The FREQUENCY DISPLAY lights and the frequency of the
last station* is displayed.
@) To listen to AM stations, press the AM SELECTOR switch.
The frequency display shows the last AM station.
To listen to FM stations, press the FM SELECTOR switch.
The frequency display shows the last FM station.
(@ Set the TUNING MODE switch so that the AUTO indicator
lights.
(5) To tune in the higher frequency station, turn the TUNING
knob slightly clockwise. To tune in the lower frequency
station, turn the TUNING knob slightly counterclockwise.

Use manual tuning mode to receive a weak signal station.
Perform procedures 1, 2 and 3 above.
(2) Set the TUNING MODE switch so that the MANUAL TUN-
ING indicator lights.
(8) Turn the TUNING
knob while obsérving the frequency
display to tune in the desired station.
4) Adjust the volume and tone of your amplifier.

() Receive a station.
@Q) Press the MEMORY
switch. (Press for more than 1 se-
cond.) The MEMORY indicator lights for about 5 seconds.

are automatically
scanned.
The
TUNING
SIGNAL
indicators
illuminate
according
to the
signal
strength and the tuned station can be heard.
(6) Adjust the volume and tone of your amplifier.
*Last station
:
As the memory of this unit is backed up, the frequency
received before the power is turned off is memorized.
This is referred to as the last station frequency. When the
power is turned on again, the unit tunes in the last station
frequency.

Note:
In FM broadcast reception by manual tuning in Continental Europe,
Great Britain and other areas, the received frequencies are different
from the frequencies displayed on the frequency display when the
last digit of display is 2 or 7, as shown in the table below. This is due
to the frequency steps used in those areas, and there is no problemin
reception.
