4. Hardware Installation
1. Turn off both computers and their peripherals, and disconnect all power
cords.
NOTE:
If you would like to mount the KVM switch on the EIA19"
equipment rack, install the included mounting brackets to the sides of
the KVM switch, secure them with the screws, and then mount the KVM
switch to the rack with the hardware provided by the rack manufacturer.
2. Connect the shared keyboard, monitor, and mouse to their respective ports
on the KVM switch. The KVM Switch's inputs are color-coded for your
convenience.
3. Connect the KVM cables to each computer's video, PS/2, and mouse
connectors.
4. Connect the included AC Power Adapter to the KVM switch and to the power
outlet.
5. Turn on the connected computers one-by-one. After the computers boot up
completely, you may begin operating the KVM switch.
Installation is now
complete.
POWER
NOTE:
Do not switch the PC port (i.e. Do not press the push button of
the KVM switch or enter a "Hot-Key" command) while the computers are
booting up.
