condition, during the time in which the pitch of the grooves
is small, the movement
of the engagement
shoe is sinall.
The engagement
shoe is thus pushed
back by the nose of
the engagement shoe, the main gear being still.
When
the stylus comes
into the lead-out
groove
having a
large pitch at the end of a record, the movement
of the
engagement shoe becomes larger than the reverse Movement
caused
by the projection
nose, entering the state which is
shown
in
Fig. 13,.
where
the
projection
presses
the
engagement shoe to cause the main gear to rotate.
