9. Troubleshooting

During operation, symbols may appear on the display. The below errors can be
detected:
Symbol Causes
Improper measurement; too
weak or too strong a signal.
Light surrounding the target
object is too strong.
Beyond operating temperature
(above 40 °C or below 0 °C).

Device failure.
Solutions
Re-measure or measure target objects that
have a stronger or weaker reflective capability,
or use a reflection board.
Measure the target objects in a weaker
surrounding light.
Carry out measurement with the meter in the
specified range (0 °C to 40 °C).
The device is not damaged if this symbol
appears on the display and disappears when
the device is turned off and then on again. If
this symbol remains on the display when the
device is turned off and on several times, the
device is damaged.
