If
you have a problem 'flashing' (installing) the new BIOS,
choose the PROGRAM BIOS command again and
try
again.
If
you can not successfully program the new BIOS file for what-
ever
reason, re-install your original BIOS from the backup file
by substituting the backup file name for the name of the new
BIOS file name in
this
setup.
3. AFter the new BIOS is installed, exit FMW and turn your sys-
tem OFF, wait 30 seconds, and turn it ON again.
If
your mainboard
has
a12-volt Flash EPROM
(the
default chip),
you should set
jumper
JP21 back to the 5-volt setting
to
write-pro-
tect
the
BIOS
before
you turn your system back on.
The
system will now start
using
the new BIOS.
Warning:
If
you do not successfully install a complete BIOS file
in the flash memory on
the
mainboard your system may not be able
to boot.
If
this happens it will require service by your system vendor.
Follow the requirements and instructions in this section precisely to
avoid this inconvenience.

ISA/PCI IRO Assignments: JP1 -JP10
These
assign
IROs
to either
the ISA
slots
(default) or to PCI slots with
edge-
triggered
cards
installed.
Don't use these for level-triggered cards. Use
the
PCI
Slot
Configuration
section
in the BIOS Setup program for level-triggered
cards.
