8-1. SUBARU Parking Assist monitor
If the symptom is not resolved by the solution, have the vehicle
inspected by your SUBARU dealer.
Symptom
The screen is
difficult to see
The image is
blurry
The screen is
misaligned
The guide lines
are significant-
ly misaligned

Likely cause
The vehicle is in a dark
area or it is night.
The temperature around
the lens is either high or
low.
The outside temperature
is low.
There are water droplets
on the camera.
It is raining or humid.
Foreign matter (mud etc.)
is stuck to the camera.
Sunlight or headlights are
shining directly into the
camera.
The vehicle is under flu-
orescent lights, sodium
lights, mercury lights, etc.
Dirt or foreign matter, such
as water droplets, snow, or
mud, has stuck to the cam-
era lens.
The camera has received a
strong impact.
The camera position is mis-
aligned.
Solution
Visually check your vehi-
cle's surroundings while
you are driving.
(Use the SUBARU Park-
ing Assist monitor again
once the camera and con-
ditions have improved.)
The procedure for adjust-
ing the picture quality of
the SUBARU Parking As-
sist monitor is the same as
the procedure for adjust-
ing the multimedia screen.
Splash the camera with a
large amount of water and
then wipe the camera lens
clean with a soft, damp
cloth.
