OPERATION
Volume Adjustment
There are 4 volume settings (including silent). Hold the
RESET button while pressing PAUSE to cycle between these
settings.
Pad / Mat Alarms
When in an alarm state, the monitor's RESET button will flash
and an audible alarm will sound (unless the volume is set to
silent).
Clearing an Alarm
Press the RESET button on the monitor.
If a bed or chair pad is being monitored, the monitor alarm
will automatically reset when the monitored person returns to
the bed or chair (pressure is re-applied to the pad).
Pad Lost
When the connection to a pad or mat is lost the "PAD LOST"
LED will flash and an audible chirp will sound every second.
Check that the cable connections between the pad or mat
and the monitor are secure. When connection is

re-established the LED and audible alert will cease.
User Guide
Pause
Pressing the PAUSE button will supress the monitor's alarm
for approx 45 seconds. If the monitored person leaves the
bed or chair during that time then the monitor will not alarm.
The monitor will be re-armed when the monitored person
returns to their bed or chair (pressure is applied to the bed or
chair pad again).
Low Battery
When the LOW BATTERY LED blinks and chirps (every 3
seconds), its time to replace the batteries in the monitor.
AC/NC Lost
When either the external power or a nurse call cable is
disconnected then the monitor's AC/NC LOST LED will blink
and a chirp will sound every 3 seconds.

Delay Settings
Alarm delay setting switches are located in the battery
compartment and the default delay setting is "DISABLE".
To provide a 2 second delay from when pressure is released
from the bed or chair pad to when the alarm is activated,
change the DELAY switch to "ENABLE" and the DELAY
DURATION setting to "SHORT". This helps to prevent false
alarms when a monitored person adjusts their position in the
bed or chair.
The long delay (15 mins) could be used to enable a
bathroom break without triggering an alarm.
