Open the document feeder tray.

Insert the document FACE DOWN (up to
15 sheets) until a beep tone is heard.

Adjust the width of the document guides.
Press [RESOLUTION) repeatedly to the desired
setting, if needed (see below).

When a fax tone is heard, press
[START/COPY/SET/on the main unit.
PLEASE WAIT
oThe unit is detecting whether the other party's
machine-is a fax. Then the unit will start
transmission.

elf the other party answers your call, ask them
to stad receiving a fax, then press your
S_ART/COPY/SET/.
Selecting the resolution
STANDARD:
FINE:
SUPER FINE:
HALF TONE:
For printed or typewritten originals
with normal-sized characters.
For originals with small printing.
For originals with minute printing.
For originals containing
photographs, shaded drawings,
etc.
oUsing the fine, super fine or half tone setting will
increase the transmission time.
olf the resolution setting is changed during
feeding, it will be effective from the next sheet.
oThe super fine resolution only works with other
compatible machines.

To feed 16 or more sheets at a
time
Insert the first 15 sheets of the document. Add the
extra sheets (up to 15) before the last sheet is fed
into the unit.
To redial the last number
Press _REDIAL/PAUSE).
elf the line is busy, the unit will automatically redial
the number up to 5 times,
To stop transmission
Press _.
eTo eject the document, press _ again.
