9. Fill the engine with sufficient oil to
reach the specified level. Install the
dipstick and tighten it.
Recommended oil:
See page 5-6.
Oil quantity:
Total amount:
2.6 L (2.3 Imp qt, 2.7 US qt)
Periodic oil change:
2.3 L (2.0 Imp qt, 2.4 US qt)
With oil filter replacement:
2.4 L (2.1 Imp qt, 2.5 US qt)
CAUTION:
Do not put in any chemical additives.
Engine oil also lubricates the clutch
and additives could cause clutch slip-
page.
Be sure no foreign material enters the
crankcase.
10. Start the engine and warm it up for
several minutes. While warming up,
check for oil leakage. If oil leakage is
found, stop the engine immediately
and check for the cause.
11. Install the panels.

Final gear oil measurement
1. Place the machine on a level place.
2. Remove the oil filler bolt and check the
oil level. It should be up to the brim of
the hole. If the level is low, add oil to
raise it to the proper level.
