General Precautions

Follow these guidelines when using your camera:
n Keep camera away from high temperatures, excessive
humidity, direct sunlight, dust, or excessive vibration.
n Do not use camera outdoors if it is raining or snowing.
n If the lens or viewfinder become dirty, clean with a lens brush
or soft, clean cloth. Never touch the lens with your fingers.
n If water or a foreign substance gets in the camera, turn the
camera off immediately and remove the batteries.
n Do not open the camera case or attempt your own repairs.
High-voltage internal components may create risk of electrical
shock or fire.
n Do not open the battery compartment when the camera is on.
n Transfer important images to your computer as soon as
possible to avoid losing image data.
n Be sure to replace new batteries within two (2) minutes to
avoid losing image data from SDRAM memory.
n There is a very slight current-drain on the batteries at all
times which keeps the memory active. If you are not going to
use your camera for an extended period (i.e. a week) be sure to
download your images to your PC and also remove the
batteries to avoid possible power drain and image loss.
n WARNING: Handling the USB cables on this product may
expose you to lead, a chemical known to the State of California
to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash
hands after handling.
