1. ERASE HEAD HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
(Refer to Figs. 22 to 25)
Usually this adjustment is not carried out. If adjust-
ment
is necessitated by head change for example,
proceed as follows:
Adjust by turning the adjustment
nut until the
height, taken from the surface of the Head Chassis to
the lower tip of the Erase Head Core (Fig. 23 C) is
14.2 mm.

ADJUSTMENT
(Refer to Figs. 22 and 24)
Please adjust by loosening screws (e) and (f) (Fig. 22)
until the gap D between the Erase Head and the Pinch
Roller is over 0.15 mm
and the gap C between the
Erase Head and the Cassette Pack is over 0.4 mm as
in Fig. 24.
Adjust the right hand Erase Head in the FWD mode
and the left hand Erase Head in the REV mode.
During the adjustment, make gap C as large as pos-
sible.
