BOIL DRY CUT-OFF PROTECTION

• If the kettle is accidentally switched on empty or with insufficient water, the boil dry
feature will automatically cut off the power supply. Lift the kettle from the power
base and let it cool down before refilling it with water. Fill the kettle with water up to
the MAX marking to reset the boil dry protection.
• Avoid boiling the kettle dry to avoid damaging the appliance and shortening its
lifespan.
CAUTION:
• Always unplug the appliance from the wall socket and let it cool down before
cleaning.
• Do not immerse the kettle, power base or power cord in water or other liquids.
Never rinse them under the tap or expose them to moisture.
• Never use solvents, chemical or abrasive cleaning agents, wire brushes, sharp
objects or scouring pads to clean the appliance.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1. Remove the kettle from the power base (7). Empty the kettle and rinse the inside
with water thoroughly.
2. Wipe the outside of the kettle and the plastic parts of the power base (7) with a soft
cloth moistened with water or mild detergent. Dry completely with a soft, dry cloth.
NOTE: Ensure that all connectors and sockets are kept dry.
Descaling
Descale your kettle regularly to maintain efficient performance. Limescale and hard
mineral deposits may build up inside the kettle over time, which slows down the boiling
process

To descale with white vinegar:

1. Open the lid (3).
2. Fill the kettle to the MAX mark with a mixture of water and white vinegar using a
ratio of 1:1.
3. Boil the kettle and then leave it for approximately 30 minutes. If the kettle is
severely scaled, boil it a second time. After boiling, discard the vinegar solution and
rinse the inside of the kettle thoroughly.
4. Fill the kettle with fresh water up to the MAX mark. Bring to a boil and then discard
the water. Repeat a few times.
5. Descale your kettle once every 3 months if you live in an area with soft water, or
once every month if you live in an area with hard water. Regular descaling ensures
proper function, product longevity and saves energy.
