Notes:
The tonearm typeAisinstalled on the
turntable (AL-A10BK) and the tonearm type B
on the turntable (AL-A1BK) (Fig. 1).
The type A has a n integrated cartridge,
the type B has a plug-in P-mount cartirdge
(T4P).
The tonearm type B is also installed on the
turntable (AL-A1BKX), but it has no cartridge
provided.
Do not connect the power cord to the AC
outlet until all preparations are completed.
* This instruction book covers the above three
models of turntables (AL-A10BK, AL-A1BK
and AL-A1BKX).
Unpacking and setting up (Fig. 2 — 3)
1. Set the voltage selector
to your local line

When this equipment is used in an area where
the supply voltage is different from the preset
voltage, reset the voltage selector to the correct
position

After removing these spacers, cover the platter
with a mat provided. Keep these spacers for
repacking the turntable
3.Locate the drive belt underneath the platter and
run it round the motor pulley

@A plug-in cartridge is used for the AL-A1BK
Therefore, specify a T4P cartridge (JVC Model
No. Z-45EP) when purchasing a new cartridge
@When replacing the cartridge, be sure to use
the provided cartridge fixing screw to obtain
the optimum tracking force.

When replacing the cartridge, consult your JVC
dealer.

When mounting the cartridge, insert the cartridge
into the plug and fix with the screw

beim Kauf eines neues Tonabnehmers einen
T4P Tonabnehmer (JVC Z-45EP).
