These settings are not necessary when using à conventional television (4:3).
eTurn on your television and the unit (œ page 15, "To turn the unit on").
eSwitch the video input mode on the television to suit the type of connection you have Ee
made.
While stopped
1 Press [ACTION] or [MENU] to display the initial settings screen.
Use the cursor jockey [A, ¥] to select "5 TV Aspect" and press [ENTER].
3 Use the cursor jockey [A, V] to select the TV aspect and press [ENTER].
Factory Preset
Press RETURN to exit

Select when a conventional television is connected.
16:9
Select when a wide-screen television is connected.
4 Press [RETURN] to finish the setting.
E To return to the previous menu
Press [RETURN].
Before enjoying DVD/Video CD/CD
The On-Screen menu language of your player has been factory preset to English.
You can change the menu language to French or Spanish. Refer to "3 Menu
Language" on page 27.
In these instructions, it is assumed that English has been selected as the menu lan-
guage.
