7-7. SERVICE MODE
Note: Perform the following electronic adjustments in service
mode and in the specified order.
« POWER LED (green) flashes while the unit is in service mode.
+ To escape from service mode in the middle of a procedure,
press either of the POWER buttons (on the unit or control
unit). The unit will return to normal mode.
7-7-1. Setting Procedure to Enter Service Mode
* The following explanation mainly concerns operating the
buttons and levers on the control unit .
1) Press the [OPTION] button, and check that | 6 | lights.
* [6 |: Does not light —» Press the
[6 ] button, and press
the [OPTION]
button,
* The white fade out level becomes 100%. (Be sure to
check this.)
2) Press the [OPTION] button, and check that [ 4 | lights.
+ [4] : Does not light > Press the [4] button, press it
again to tum it off, and press the [OPTION] button.
* Check that [RECALL] and [WIPE POSITION] go off.
3)
Press the | AUTO | button to light it.
4) Move the [MANUAL Mix] lever to LINE A.
5) Press [START MEMORY | of [PROGRAM MEMORY |, [ 4 |,
[10] and [70].
6)
Move the [ MANUAL MIX ] lever to LINE B.
7) Press| 7 |,[ 1 |, {5 | and [7 |.
8)
Move the
[MANUAL MIX ] lever to LINE A.
9) Press the
button. Three beeps sound.
10) Service mode setting is completed. (Refer to SERVICE
MODE in the SERVICING NOTE at the beginning of this
document.)
7-7-2. Control Unit Check
1) Press the [10] button in the PROGRAM MEMORY block.
2) AILLEDS light.
7-7-3. Sync Level Adjustment
Adjusting method:
1) Press the [ 1 ] button in the PROGRAM MEMORY block.
2) Measure the sync signal amplitude with the waveform
monitor and adjust the sync amplitude with the [A] and |[V
buttons in the panel so that it is 300mV + SmV.

7-7-4. Fader DC Balance Adjustment
Adjusting method:
1) Press
in the PROGRAM MEMORY block.

INPUT SELECT
LINE A [_1_] (color bar $ video output)
LINE B|_1 | (color bar S video output)
3)
WIPE SELECT
Press the | a button.
4)
Measure the pedestal level at the black 0% of the color bar
signal with the waveform monitor. Move WIPE to the center
of the black bar and minimize the level difference as shown
using the [<] and [>] buttons on the panel. (If WIPE is out
of range, move it with the [A] and |v] buttons.)

3)
Press all the buttons one after another (except the [POWER
button) to turn off the LEDs.
4)
Press all the buttons to reset to the original status.
Note:
+ Do not press the [POWER] button.
+ Each button must light and then turn off its
corresponding LED.
