BEFORE FIRST USE
Boil a full jug of water three times and throw the water away. This is how the last remains of the
manufacturing process are removed.
BOILING WATER
1. Place the kettle on a flat surface.
2. Remove the water jug from the base and fill it under the tap with the desired amount of water (minimum
0.5 liters and maximum 1.7 liters). See also the water level indication.
3. Place the water pitcher on the base and close the lid. Be careful not to spill water over the base.
4. Plug it into the socket.
5. Press the power switch down. The power indicator light will illuminate. The kettle is now switched on
and the water heating starts. When the water boils, the kettle switches off automatically after a few
seconds.
6. When the kettle is switched off, remove the plug from the socket.
7. Pour out the hot water.
NB:
Do not come into contact with the hot water or steam that may escape from the appliance. This can cause
serious burns.
PROTECTION AGAINST OVERHEATING
This device has an overheating protection that switches the device off when it is switched on without or
with too little water. The device cannot be used for a while. Allow the kettle to cool for at least 10 minutes
before using it again.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Remove the plug from the socket and let the device cool down.
Clean the water jug with a damp cloth. Never immerse the device in water. Never place the appliance
in a dishwasher. Make sure that no moisture penetrates the electrical connections.
If the inside of the jug is very discolored, it is best to clean it with a damp cloth with some baking soda.
Then rinse the water jug very well.
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes)
when cleaning.
DESCALING
1. Depending on the hardness of the water, limescale will deposit. Therefore, descale the device regularly.
2. Remove the plug from the socket and let the device cool down.
3. Press the filter in through the spout until it releases and clean it under running water.
4. Replace the filter by clicking it into the spout.
5. Fill the water jug to the 'max' level with a vinegar solution and bring it to the boil.
6. Then let the vinegar solution soak in the water pitcher for a few hours.
7. Empty the water jug and bring a full jug of water to the boil three times and throw the water away. This
will remove the last residues of the descaling process.

special commercially available limescale removers.
6. On/off button with indicator light
7. Spout with removable limescale filter
