Setting the washing program, switching on and off
Temperature selector
With the temperature selector you can conti-
nuously select any required temperature.
On setting "E" you can select an economy
program (the laundry is washed at lower
temperature than 95°C): for slightly to normally
soiled whites and minimum iron fabrics.
Please note that the window can become hot
(do not touch)!
On setting "@" it is possible to carry out cold
washing, e.g. woollens.
Switching on
1. Turn program selector clockwise (it must be
pushed in) to the required program, set
temperature (see program tables).
2. Pull out program selector (this switches the
washing machine on). A white ring will
appear to indicate the ON-position. The pilot
light will come on as soon as the door inter-
lock is engaged. The program selector will
turn step by step. It will stop temporarily at
various programs. The drum will not rotate
either.
Note:
If you wish to interrupt the program (for
example to insert additional items of laundry)
switch the washing machine off (check water
level in drum and safety interlock).
Switching off
important! Always check the water level in the
drum! Look at the program selector. If it is on
"rinse stop" (program stage sequence page 22)
you must pump off the final rinse water (turn
program selector to 13 or 14 - see table).
If the program selector is at the
? symbol
(the pilot light has extinguished), push the
program selector in (the white ring will dis-
appear) and turn the temperature selector back
to its starting position. The washing machine is
switched off. The door can be opened.
